The DS Gets a New Engine Under the Hood

The RX for what ails your DS
There’s an update to the virtually-unknown PC Engine/TurboGrafx emulator for DS:
Finally added CD-ROM audio through the use of .bin/.cue files, make sure to read the CDROM_readme.txt file for how to rip your CD games correctly.
*Added support for CD-ROM images in .bin/.cue format.
*Added support CD audio playing.
I’ve tried the previous versions and, surprisingly, it’s pretty damn fast/accurate, so if you love the PCE (and, really, who doesn’t), grab it and give it a go:

Has that nasty “non-compatible” list eased up a bit?
I don’t know, but since it’s only version 0.5, I’d have to imagine there is still a lot of work to be done.
Holy crap, there’s redbook audio now. Me wanty!
I used an earlier version of Nitrografx and was impressed that I could get Rondo of Blood to work at all. Music would be the icing on the cake!
By the way, have you been paying attention at all to DSX86? It’s a nifty DOS emulator with support for early VGA games, among others. Here’s the address in case you’re interested:

I am familiar with it BUT I have not actually taken the time to actually try it…yet.
