Bret Michaels Seeks a Collaboration With Mozart

He’s overcompensating but he’s OK with that

Yeah, um, that’s really cool and all and, really, we love what you’ve done here and, geez, yeah, well, um, how about, hmm, yeah…we’ll call you:

Japanese games development star Suda51 has told CVG that he’s “very interested” in creating a game for a first party like Nintendo.

The Grasshopper Manufacture studio head’s latest epic, No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, will be released in April on Wii in the UK – and has enjoyed some sparkling reviews.

With that project done and dusted, attention is turning to the future. During our interview, we observed that Suda51 had worked closely with Nintendo in the past – even creating parts for Super Smash Bros. Brawl – and asked if he’d like to produce a full game for a first party in future.

He replied: “If there was the possibility, I’d be very interested. But I’d have to be able to create an original title.”

Awww c’mon, no love for Suda? His games are bizarre but they are interesting. 🙂

By way of an answer, all I’ll say is I have a couple of Poison albums and still listen to them, but that doesn’t mean that they should be hooking up with Bach 🙂

Have you ever played Contact on the DS? It is a Suda game that has some of his thought provoking elements but in a style (sort of Earthbound meets Zelda) that might actually work for a Nintendo first-party game.

But, yeah, I don’t see this partnership as plausible.

Whoa, whoa, gamer police! Pull over!

Contact was by Akira Ueda (late of Love-De-Lic), when he was at Grasshopper but Suda51 did not have a big hand (if any) in it!

      I’ll let you off with a warning…this time 😉

(And yes, I love Contact and Shining Soul 1&2, his best games of the past 5-7 years.)

Hmm, interesting. It does have Sudaisms such like breaking the fourth wall, references to music (the villians’ “band”) and the like.

I’m glad I don’t have to pay a citation! Usually when I’m pulled over I have to pay a ticket. My man boobs are never enough to get out of it it seems….
