You Got Your SCSP In My YM2612: Game Music Tracks Demixed

music
The YM2612 is alive with the sound of music!

This guy has an awesome YouTube channel featuring remixes of music from more powerful hardware to less powerful hardware e.g. the song featured here is a track from Thunder Force V on Sega Saturn (32-bit, amazing sound processor) remixed to sound like it was composed on the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive (16-bit, not so much1):

And this is the same track on Saturn (forgive the sound effects, but I can’t find a ‘clean’ version of the tune and don’t have time to upload my own):

His homepage is here.

1 I still do love it, though: MUSHA, Lightening Force/TF4 Streets of Rage 2, Gauntlet 4, Batman, Mega Turrican, etc. etc. etc.

Um, I linked to this, that should count as a ping back, right? I’m a scared and confused little man (I AM looking forward to playing Heavy Rain, after all).
