How Did You Find Me?

I admit it: I got chills around 2:11.

Anyway, beyond that, it isn’t totally awful, but it is just kinda a giant, clichéd, mash-up of Hong Kong fight scenes you’ve seen about a billion times, replete with myriad, ‘feel the power’, 120fps, slow-mo shots.

However, it is lensed pretty well and the production values are, surprisingly, pretty good, so I think a 3.5/5, for what it is, is reasonable.

    AKA, “Street Fighter”.

There’s just no pleasing some people…

Right and…what’s your point? That a 3.5/5 isn’t good enough for a decent fan film? That because it slavishly copies its source material (which slavishly-copied 70s kung-fu cinema) that it deserves an 11/10? I don’t understand! Enlighten me! 😄

(And if all of the above is the case, you must just love the previous Street Fighter films 😉

That’s exactly the point I was trying to make!
Because it sticks closely to it’s source material, which itself was inspired by those cheesy 70’s kung-fu movies, it actually makes for a fantastic Street Fighter film, even if it is comprised only of a 3:12 fight scene.

What I was really responding to was the comment “it isn’t totally awful”. I just didn’t think it was anywhere near awful (and this is coming from someone who has seen nearly every Street Fighter film there is).
